African Mask Workshop

Sculptor Beulah Woodard had a lifelong interest in African culture and in 1935 was inspired to produce the sculpture Mask, on view in LA Blacksmith. Also, come through and make your own unique mask in soft copper. Ages 6 and up.

Better Together LA

Join us at the LA Glass Center for our first annual Black History Month empowerment event.

There will be a pop-up market featuring local black entrepreneurs offering wares from handmade jewelry to original illustrations, and much more. There will also be live glass blowing demonstrations, make-your-own glass experiences, DJs, and local food trucks. Our mission is to support local black owned businesses as well as raise money to revitalize the Watts Labor Community Action Committee, a facility in South Central LA providing programming in the arts to a historically underserved community.
