5 Ways to Honor Black Lives in LA this Weekend!

Over the past 48 hours, we have witnessed the unspeakable. From Alton Sterling to Philando Castile, Black people are in a state of crisis and many of us are left wondering what we can do. We created Black Book LA to direct Black people to safe spaces and events where we can be our full selves. And in times like these, our need for a strong sense of community is more apparent than ever.

I'm an effort to help you process and respond to recent events, we've compiled a list of vigils, healing spaces, and protests in LA this weekend. Over the next few days, we estimate that more spontaneous events and direct actions will occur so be sure to follow us on social media for live updates.

We love you all and hope that you find what you're looking for this weekend. We're here for you!
